As we all know, relaxing after a concussion isn’t always easy.

As soon as I lie on the mat, I feel my muscles relax and I find more inner peace within just a few minutes. It’s a great way to focus on myself. The sharp points on the mat stimulate the nerve endings in my skin, which helps improve blood flow. This helps get rid of waste products faster and increases the production of happy hormones like endorphins and oxytocin. I notice that I feel more relaxed and my stress level goes down a lot within minutes.


Better Sleep: I used to have trouble sleeping, but since I started using the Flowee mat, sleepless nights are almost gone! After a while on the mat, I can fall asleep much faster and deeper. Waking up with more energy is such a relief!

What Happens When You Lie on the Flowee Mat?

0-20 sec.: Ouch! Does this really feel good? Those spikes are really sharp!

20-60 sec.: Your body starts to improve blood flow, and the spot where you’re lying on the mat gets warm.

1-2 min.: The pain and warmth might make it feel like you’re burned by the sun. Focus on your breathing and hang in there.

2-6 min.: You might feel a tingling sensation, sometimes even itching.

6-8 min.: Your body starts to relax naturally. Now you can really start to relax.

8-20 min.: Blood flow is improved, your muscles are relaxed, and the tension slowly leaves your body. You will feel relaxed!


How to optimally relax after a concussion

When you start using the mat, make sure to take it slow. Always listen to your body. Start with just a few minutes and increase the time as it feels good. For the best results, try to use the mat for 10-20 minutes. You can use it longer; you might even fall asleep on the mat!
